My Journey with SixShooterSweets

Welcome to SixShooterSweets, while not a business Six Shooter Sweets holds a very special place in my life. My story with baking is long and not very complicated all it took was a passion and the strong desire to share my baked goods with the world. As nerve wracking as it is I am very excited to continue to share my story with you!

The heart of Six Shooter Sweets

I'm Alyssa- a Penn State student studying Plant Sciences. However, I LOVE to bake. Stressed out from work or school you'll often find me in the kitchen cooking for my roommates or baking something simply because I need the brain break. I always say this is my dream, own a bakery and sell my treats for a living but I told myself that was impossible. As cliché as it might be I realized my mindset was holding me back, there is no harm in posting my baked goods and starting something small. So now after years of saying "I'm going to do it" I finally did it. No business, no menu and no set prices just a girl and some powdered sugar sharing her passion with you. If you have an event or a desire for a sweet treat allow me to share my passions with you and your loved ones!

About Me

I am 19 years old and I love all things agriculture. I grew up in Danville, PA where I was an active FFA, 4-H and even marching band member. I showed livestock, raised breeding goats, shot competitive air pistol, and served on the PA 4-H State Council. I am always up to something, and you never know where I might be! I then moved to State College for school where I study Plant Genetics and Biotechnology with a minor in Agronomy.

My Passion

When I was little, I used to make cakes and decorate them for fun with my parents. All those silly little memories I made when I was young taught me to love baking and I am truly thankful for that. Once I got into 4-H I started decorating cakes in cake decorating club! Ironically, I hated it at the time, but I learned the skills I needed to. Once I started high school, I quickly found love in baking to clear my mind. Baking became my favorite activity, and I have not looked back.
